Barn Open House & Meet An Arabian Horse

Educational Fundraiser Event

Saturday, May 18th

11:00AM - 1:00PM

Milton, GA 30004

Please join us for an educational and fun day! ALL are welcome. This is a family friendly event!

There will be raffles, coloring activities, and fun! Participants will get to meet and fall in love with an Arabian Horse. First 30 attendees will receive a FREE goodie bag! At the event, you will be able to meet a piece of history, the Arabian Horse, learn about the breed, see the equipment used to care for the horses, have your photo taken with this beautiful animal (one dressed up as unicorn!), and speak with local equine professionals about any questions you may have as well as meet with other local horse enthusiasts in the community. What a great way to spend a Saturday with the family! 

 

We are excited to have Whole Horse Saddle FitSaddle Song Farm Custom Apparel & GiftsCustom Taylord Photography, EquestrianNoire, and Bailey's Bites in attendance. We will also have raffle prizes for attendees to enter to win such as a Riding Warehouse gift cards, saddle pad, "King of the Wind" book, "Arabian Exodus" by Margaret Greeley donated by Linda of Much Ado About Horses, “What Horses Really Want” book by Lynn Acton, a beautiful coffee table book of equine photography donated by EquestrianNoire, hat, a photography session with Custom Taylored Photography, equine artwork, tote bags, notebook, "55 Corrective Exercises for Horses: Resolving Postural Problems, Improving Movement Patterns, and Preventing Injury" book, & more!

 

Furthermore, there will be silent auction items available to help fundraise such as two Tether Shield panel guards to protect your English saddles and a clicker training starter kit. Bailey's Bites will have some sweet treats to sample as well as purchase. Kevin of Equestrian Noire will also be hosting an educational talk about the sport of Polo and the Arabian Horse. Thank you to Riding Warehouse for donating gift cards, hats and insulated cups as well as some items for gift bags for our participants! We will have a few current and past board members of Georgia Arabian Horse Association in attendance that are more than happy to answer your questions about the Arabian Horse as well as how to get more involved with Arabian Horse community. 

* Ages 17 & under: FREE but donation is greatly appreciated!

All proceeds will be split between Grune Heidi Farm Rescue, The Arabian Horse Foundation, Georgia Arabian Horse Association, & University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine's DSLD Research to support the Arabian Horse within the southeast.

Please Pay in Advance. Since this is a fundraiser event there will be NO refunds even in the case that there is an emergency and the event must be cancelled. Event is RAIN OR SHINE. 

Space is limited due to parking availability, so please pre-register using this form or we cannot guarantee entry. Thank you for understanding! Carpooling is highly encouraged!

 

Please note all visitors are required to sign and send a signed 2024 liability release waiver to confirm their registration for this event. If they have not, they will not be able to attend this event. Please see copy on above registration forms.
 

Speed limit is 5-10 MPH - THIS IS A WORKING HORSE FARM. Please NO speeding as this is dangerous for horses, humans, & other wildlife and animals on the property.

In addition to horses, we have one barn cat. "Wowzers" is a rescue originally from Atlanta Humane Society about 13 years old.  We do not allow dogs on the property.
 
Please wear solid closed-toe shoes and long pants (yoga/workout leggings or jeans are great). 
NO sandals or open toed shoes please. 
We are a working horse farm so just be prepared for dust and horse hair so bring some hand wipes for afterwards. Please do not bring your own treats for the horses. We will provide food if you would like to give them a little snack! 
If you would like to sit down please bring your own comfy chair as seating is limited. 

The farm is in Alpharetta/Milton zip code 30004.  Located off of 400 on exit 12B if you are coming from Atlanta.

If you are an equine professional, have a small business and love Arabian Horses, or would simply like to help promote the Arabian Horse, we would love to have you as a vendor or we would be happy to have you as a part of the event in another way! Please don't hesitate to reach out.
